The second annual Chef’s Demonstration will be held Sunday, August 10, from 11 a.m.
to 2 p.m. in the Chef’s Tent area of the U.S. Bank Great Midwest Balloon Fest site.
Chef Jasper Mirable, local favorite and nationally famous chef of Jasper’s Italian
Restaurant, will demonstrate a fabulous Italian menu for participants. Chef Cody
Hogan, the Chef de Cuisine of Lydia’s, of local and New York fame and personal assistant
to owner Lydia Bastianich on her PBS journeys to Italy, will also demonstrate his
expertise. Chef Shanita McAfee will demonstrate mouth-watering southern cooking for the audience. Chef Shanita is locally famous chef of Magnolia’s, a Contemporary Southern Bistro. Roxanne Wyss and Kathy Moore, The Electrified Cooks—Plugged into Today’s
Cooking will delight and amaze our audience. They are known nationally for their
cookbooks and their BabyCakes line.
